EMOTIONS is not a baggage

EMOTIONS is not a baggage

EMOTIONS is not a baggage!

You can have all the emotions that you want in life! …and you will have the ones you don’t want also wether you like it or not.

Emotions is not a heavy baggage that you need to get rid of. It is just emotions – neither bad or good. Life through you don’t make a mistake when emotions arise. They are like the wind, the clouds and the rain – in symbiosis with all. But we can be aware of the reaction to them. Awareness of emotions is what takes you from being a victim to being a master of emotions.

Without awareness we are in reaction to emotion without knowing it. And when we are in reaction without knowing it; we are a victim to outer circumstances. This is why humanity seem to be creating the same unsustainable results again and again even though we know better – we are victims to the conditioned mind which creates emotions. We are run by emotions.

Emotions is created in you as a reaction to outer stimuli or to our thoughts. They are old conditioning and perfect for what they are. Sometimes they can help us and guide us, sometime they are not helpful at all. If aware, we can hold a loving space for those emotions and act according to our better knowing. I don’t always know what the “better knowing” is but then I can always ask; “What would love do?” and see what comes up. Regardless of what I do I can allow the emotions to be there just like I don’t try to get rid of clouds on the sky while eating.

Outer events and people trigger emotions, if aware of the emotion we can act, if not aware of the emotion we react. Maybe we find ourselves annoyed, angry, irritated sad or offended? If unaware we try to find the reason of that discomfort on the outside and in other people. And if the reason is outside we blame or try to solve the outside. This is a reaction. It may take away the dis-comfortable emotion temporary because it is overrun by the kick of the ego who feels its in charge and in control, but that is a very short-term state and the emotion will come back and the ego will find itself out of control and not in charge, because it isn’t. And the mind-pattern of that emotion is also strengthened by us opposing it and avoid it with all kinds of elaborate strategies like “thinking of something else”, “do something fun”, or finding the cause on the outside and blame or try to change the outer world.

If you find yourself in reaction to emotions or have very strong emotions there is helpful perspectives/methods. Here is one of them;

Perspective: Emotions as a child.

See the emotions as a small child. Sometimes the child reacts to something and gets upset. What do you do when the child comes running to you crying and upset? You pick it up and hold it lovingly and say that all is ok and confirm the emotion; “-its ok to be sad dear child.” And after a while the child will be done and see something else and run away playing with that like if nothing happened. No trauma/conditioning is caused that the child will carry along in life. Conditioning like having the perspective that the event that upset or the person is “bad” or that the feeling of sadness is “bad”. They still learned what is beneficial for them or not by the event. No reason to cause trauma.

Now, what would be the opposite? The child comes running crying again. But this time we see it as a heavy bad baggage and we appose it, we don’t want that crying child. So we slap that child over the cheek and say “stop crying, don’t be a sissy.” (This is how most people deal with emotions.) And maybe ask the child what happened and try to solve the “cause” for the sadness. Maybe another kid played with his/her favourite toy. We go there and try to force the toy out of the other kids hands. Traumas/conditioning is created or strengthened in everyone involved in that situation and will grow over time.

Healing emotional patterns?

Yes they heal by themselves with a loving non-judgmental attitude towards them. The conditioning withers away. Its like the child. All it longs for is to be loved. And when it gets loved it doesn’t have to be upset anymore, it feels secure. Over time approaching emotions in a loving way, they will heal, that is they don’t need to get upset to to get love. They are loved/love.

Below is a list of uncomfortable emotions that may help you if you want to confirm the child and what it is feeling exactly. Its from Byron Katies website thework.com. And if you want to get help relating to your strong emotions more mindfully shoot me an e-mail and order a coaching session and I will be happy to support you on your journey.

The time of my life!

The time of my life!

Have life ever happened in any other time and place then here and now? Not for me either. The mindful approach keeps us from ending up in the stories of the past or the future missing the real thing – Life.

The power of thought comes from the space surrounding it

Power of thought …comes from the space surrounding it.

Value the space more then the thoughts and with time the power is in you to give or relief thoughts power.

Thoughts is what creates our wor, makes us suffer and seperates us from reality/truth.

This is why meditation is the most powerful thing in humanity and why I want to inspire to more mindfulness in the lifes of conscious humans.

Does existence include me?

Does existence include me?

Artwork: Preem Amrita, Text: Jonas Faremo

Does existence include me? As humanity has seperated itself from nature through our mental image about ourselfs, that feeling of being alone can come quite easily. The fact that you are nature, a part of universe, somehow feels lika distant fantasy even if that is much nmor reality then you and me being seperate enteties fighting for our share of the cake. Like I have to take care of everything, myself and others. And why not the nature as well… What can you do except occupy yourself with entertainment enough so that you dont feel seperatedness and then die of old age?

Artist: Preem Amrita is an artist living a life full of suffering I am sorry to say. Her story tells about a person ending up outside society and never being enough for the norm and what consequenses that has. She is originally from Sweden but lives partly in India where she found sanctury from the excluding and judging systems of the west. Sometimes art flows through her pencil out on paper. Here on this page is for now the only place we can be blessed by that art.

Flow – shortcut to get it and why you don´t have it

Flow – shortcut to get it and why you don´t have it

Flow

Flow has become a trendy term and a desirable state for people in both big cities and small conscious communities. Flow is a state most of us find ourselves in on few occasions. And then we fall out of it and spend most of the time in “not-flow” trying to get back into the flow. Flow is a state where things (finally) are as you think they shall be and events go in the right directions according to your view of things. And when this occur, which is usually very seldom, we feel light, motivated to take action with ease and grateful for life. But how can everything be flow – can even doing nothing be flow?

Wanting flow is for me like living by a beautiful fresh water lake up in the mountains and think that I need to walk down the long steep path to the river in the valley every time I want a sip of water. Let me present an option, a mental shortcut.

  • If we learn to completely ACCEPT what is in this moment, which is reality (it’s already a fact whatever is) – we think that things are as they shall be.
  • If we totally TRUST that universe is evolving as it should do – events go in the right directions.

Acceptance and trust – Oops, all of a sudden we are in a flow – things are as they should be and are heading the right direction. We feel light, motivated to take action with ease and grateful for life. (Of course there are degrees of the depth of acceptance and trust, hence degrees of flow.) And if we feel light motivated to take action and grateful for life we usually have much better outcomes in our actions then if we would think the situation is crap and needs change which puts us in direct recistance to reality – in recistance to flow.

With acceptance and trust there is no conditions for flow. No special things that we need to wait for or that needs to occur in order to be in the flow. Just accept and trust what is.

This is the blessing of meditation and mindfulness. If we tap into the potential of the NOW. There is nothing we need to have or something in particular that need to happen in order to experience the magic of life and do the best we can in the only moment that exists – now. And only now can flow exist. So persuing flow makes flow impossible in the now since we not accept things as they are (want something else) and dont trust in life (we need to do something to make it right).

If you are fully in love (acceptance of what is) and trust, we can take a sip of water without climbing down any mountains. We no longer need stress to push us to performance and achievement. Instead you can take powerful action with ease knowing that you always do the best you can to be you and that the results of your actions is one variable of millions in the whole universe and that it will be as it is supposed to be. Sometimes that powerful action can be to relax and do nothing because tiredness is there – flow. You accept what is, tiredness, and you trust rest is the best thing for you right now and it will give you want you need/want – flow. Still difficult to see why this is flow?

Well then try the opposite; not accepting tiredness. If you where in flow before you will no longer be, flow is all of a sudden interupted by tiredness. And you will not have the benefits of what a rest would have given you – vitality and energy. Instead you push on, not trusting that tiredness is whats best for you now. You are in a “no-flow state”, and get more tired since you dont rest. You get more in “no-flow” since more tiredness is an even less desired state. And then you wonder what happened to flow and want it back…

What cannot be described in words? Do you have the dicipline not to answer this question with words? Do you have the inner peace of waiting until you know the answer, or if not knowing, live in this question un-answered?

Our mind creates symbols to interpret and control reality. Words, images and movies categorized into good and bad to create order. But reality happens beyond our minds symbols and categorizations. Reality is not controlled, it is the infinite amount of possible events manifesting into one event in this moment. The only moment. The point of no return.
